I just spoke with Ken Broadwater and the reveal time has been announced! The Lucas Family will be welcomed home at 2:00pm EST TODAY. If you can make it out to the site I'm sure that you will enjoy it and everyone there will appreciate your support of this project.

I just wanted to say that I have never met such nice people in my life, and I am speaking of the volunteers that I met while I was there on Sunday and Monday. They were all so happy, all of the time. Some stayed and worked through the night and were still all smiles the next morning. What a wonderful group of volunteers and it was such a pleasure to work with them. God Bless you all!

Two things:
1.) The air date has not yet been set, but I've heard rumors of sometime in late February or early March. Just keep checking THIS website and as soon as we know, you will know.
2.) When Ken approached me about helping on this project I was excited, for him, for me and for the Lucas family. I've known Ken Broadwater for a number of years and have a great deal of respect for him both as a builder and as a person. He is a genuinely nice man who goes out of his way to help others. I too was impressed by his handling of the pressure of this project. I can only imagine what it must have been like. Unfortuantely, due to our schedule, we were in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia during the entire event. We left Virginia before the day of the door-knock and arrived back on the day of the reveal. But in keeping in contact with Ken and his team by phone and by email it was clear that although busy they were still the same friendly, caring people they always have been. It's said that character is refined by trials, and that is true. However, in this case I think the trial demonstrated Ken's existing character more than refined it! Congratulations on a job well done.

I WAS JUST WONDERING WHEN WILL THIS EPISODE AIR ON ABC? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS INFORMATION OUT ONLINE BUT HAVE HAD NO SUCCESS IN FINDING ANYTHING. IF ANYONE KNOWS PLEASE POST THE DATE ON THIS SITE. THANKS TO ALL THAT VOLUNTEERED WITH THIS PROJECT. GOD BLESS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The Mo-Johns group and I visited for the reveal today! It was so hot for December, but everyone was in great spirits anyways! It was so exciting to see the family's reaction to their new house! THANKS KEN BROADWATER HOMES, EMHE, TY & THE OTHER GREAT DESIGNERS, THE CREW OF ABC, AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO SPENT THEIR TIME WORKING TOGETHER TO GET THIS PROJECT DONE!

I just love the way we (as a community) have worked so well together. I get to work side-by-side with the crew, local people and other businesses from our counties. I want to thank the ones who put this on and gave ALL OF US this wonderful opportunity to do so. You have been so nice to me and everyone who was around the site. I just didn't want to leave. And I'll take with me the memories of a time well spent!!!!

My family and I visited the site yesterday (Sunday). It was awesome to see so many people working so hard on this project. Thank you for allowing us to visit and to be so close to the action. This is why we are so proud to be AMERICANS!!! WAY TO GO KEN AND TY AND THE EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION FAMILY AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS!
